It's About That Time!

As most of you know, I LOVE HALLOWEEN! I love working with the kids to decide what they are going to be. We love homemade costumes. Now, I will tell you, if there is sewing involved, I have no part in it! That is where my mom comes in! But give me a cardboard box and a hot glue gun and I'm all about it! So, I just wanted to share some Halloween pics from years past. I know I'm missing a few years, but I hope you enjoy the ones I found!

Halloween 1996
Bryson and Devin

Mom made this costume. You'll see it again later!

Halloween 1997
Farmer Bryson and her cow Jordan

Halloween 2000
Dorothy, Toto and the Scarecrow

Halloween 2001
This isn't a costume, but I love the look on Dusty's face when he looked up and saw that witch!

The snake, the clown and the indian princess

Jordan wanted to be a snake. Good thing my mom has a good imagination! We even put a rattle in the tail, so he was a rattlesnake!

Halloween 2002
Spongebob Squarepants! Mom made this out of a mattress pad!

Pippi Longstocking

Jordan was a pirate!

Halloween 2003
Dusty went as a box of popcorn. Warning: Popcorn + hot glue gun= blistered fingers!

Strawberry Shortcake

Jordan was a spider in it's web

Halloween 2005
Jordan was a mailman. Notice the dog biting his leg!

Come and get your fortune told!

Dusty was a dragon. I take no credit for this costume! This was all my mom's doing!

Halloween 2006
Jordan was a head on a platter. He won scariest costume in a costume contest!

Probably the cheapest costume ever! Dusty was a wanted poster!

Bry was a Mexican dancer.

Halloween 2007
Head on the platter was re-used!

Bry did this herself and I was a little disturbed! Would you want to sleep in a house with THAT?

Halloween 2008
Bry went as a mime. She made that hat herself!

This is probably my favorite costume ever! We all got into making this. Steve helped by cutting out the holes in the box for D's hands and head. He also got the head stone onto the box. I spray painted the box. Mom and I glued all the stuff on. We had so much fun making this costume!

You should have seen the guy's face in Walmart when I went and only bought a rubber rat and 2 black roses!

The finished product! A zombie coming out of its grave. When I went to put the bugs on his face, he thought I was going to use the hot glue gun! LOL!
