Once Upon A Time When Mullets Were Cool...

Ran across this pic a few weeks ago when I was trying to find pictures for Dusty's 6th grade graduation. It was taken in Spring 1990. We had all gone to a state park for the day.And we were young and cool! Sometimes, I really miss these carefree days!

A Few Vacation Pics... Or Maybe More Than A Few!

Okay, so I am finally getting these uploaded from Spring Break. They are in no particular order. We kept busy the whole week. We visited Gettysburg, Harper's Ferry, Amish country in Lancaster,PA, did some prom dress shopping with Bry. Yes, the dress is purchased!!! And we even squeezed in time for a girls night with Bry, Dawne and I to go see The Hunger Games and out to dinner. The movie was awesome! Followed the book pretty darned close! And we had lots of family time hanging out. And I always love seeing my kids spend quality "cousin time" with Shaun and Peyton. The weather was fantastic the whole week. In the past when we have gone out there in March, it was been at least chilly and a few times, darned right cold. But, I packed for everything- cold, hot, chilly. My boys did not wear one pair of jeans the whole time, they wore shorts & t-shirts. They did wear sweatshirts a few mornings, but they didn't stay on long. Seriously unheard of for this time of year! On the way home we took the kids to the Flight 93 Memorial. We figured we had spent the week visiting historical sights, they needed to see some history from their time. It was a nice memorial. Somber is probably the best way to describe it. I felt an overwhelming sadness while I was there. But, I am glad we stopped. It was a great week. We certainly weren't ready to come home! Oh, and while we were in Gettysburg, I believe we got a visit from Trevor. It was just mom, Travis and I and the five kids. We were having a picnic and a truck came by with a loud speaker, kind of like an ice cream truck that plays music to let kids know it is coming. Anyway, the truck started playing the the Marine Corps Hymn just as it got up to us, drove real slow and the song stopped playing after it got passed us. It took us a minute to register what the song was. I think we all realized it at at the same time. We all got chills, teared up and started laughing. We knew right then and there in was Trevor! Trevor always finds a way to let us know he is there. I believe this was his way that day to let my mom know that all three of her kids were there... Anyway, here's those pics-

My 3 at Amish Village in Lancaster. They got educated on Amish life here. I think it safe to say they are perfectly happy with their own lives! Don't think they would want to change places!

Travis and Shaun at Devil's Den. I believe Travis is telling Shaun it is not okay to jump after Shaun called it the "jumping rock"!
